Ted Jones
Ted Jones is the founding director of T.J. Chronicles, the Washington, D.C., based newsletter that focuses on the doings and achievements of African-Americans in the federal government.
A native New Yorker, Jones graduated from City College of New York in 1955 and the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University in 1958. He was a New York Times reporter from 1961 until 1965 when he joined the federal government's war on poverty. He was with the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) until 1974 when he joined the Community Services Administration.
Prior to forming his firm, Jones served as the administration assistant and press secretary for Rep. Charles B. Rangel of New York and as the special assistant for foreign affairs for Rep. George W. Crockett Jr. of Detroit. Jones was also a journalism instructor at the University of the District of Columbia from 1987 to 1995. He is still director of T.J. Chronicles which serves individual clients along with business, trade and professional associations.
